Divorce in Arizona The Legal Process Your Rights and What to Expect Marlene A Pontrelli Esq Robert L Schwartz Esq 9781943886715 Books Reviews
- what I expected
- One of the most angst-ridden moments in a person’s life is walking into an attorney’s office to end a marriage – a dream – that you thought would go on forever. Marlene Pontrelli and Robert Schwartz’s book does much to soothe that angst prior to taking that first step. This book is written in plain language, incredibly informative, accurate and filled with answers to questions the average lay person would not even think to ask. I was so impressed with the enlightening information that I bought a copy for a friend in New York and a copy for my niece in New Jersey, both of whom are going through paternity and divorce issues, respectively. My friend found it so illuminating that she bought a copy and sent it to a close friend of hers who practices family law in Florida! I read the rancorous “reviews†(actually commentary) by two “reviewers†and find it biased when no one reading those comments on knows the true facts, but then again the taste of grapes is always sour when you lose; but what do I know – I’m only working in Family Law for 54 years and went through my own divorce.
- Very helpful. We able to understand the process before filing.
- Thousands of dollars of information and advice, written by two of Arizona' foremost family law attorneys, in one small book. Anyone involved in or approaching the divorce/custody process should buy and read this invaluable book. It is a primer on all aspects of the experience and it explains in plain terms what one can expect to be confronted with both in regard to the divorce (the division of assets and liabilities) and in the parental decision making (formerly called custody) aspects of a case. Even experienced domestic relations attorney can glean from this book points of interest not generally known about the process. While certain parts of the book pertain to Arizona substantive law other chapters deal with the relationship with your lawyer, and the usefulness of mediation or arbitration, and the psychological impact on the case participants all of which apply to matters in all fifty states.Divorce can be a dreadful experience for some people, but, by explaining how, why, and when things happen, this book can help alleviate some of that anxiety. Buy this book. It is well worth the money.
- I found this book very helpful in understanding the process of going through a divorce and matters related to a divorce and was a money saver by allowing me to understand those matters without having to pay an attorney to educate me. I read the other reviews (1-star) and find it interesting that their comments had nothing to do with the book but sounded like the losing parties in their own divorces where the authors represented their spouses. Such irresponsible comments are not helpful where they are using book reviews to express their frustrations unrelated to the book.
- Poorly written book by two people of extremely questionable character. Avoid.
- I wasn't sure what to expect when I ordered this book, but I am so happy I ordered!! I really feel like this book saved me a lot of time, effort, and money (all things which my divorce has incredibly drained). I feel so lucky to stumble upon this. Would recommend!!!
- Great book, everything you need to know about Divorce is in this book. Marlene and Robert really did a great job.
